Ent Credit Union uses Broncos’ playoff berth to help Children’s Hospital
COLORADO SPRINGS — Ent Credit Union will double its donations to Children’s Hospital Colorado during the NFL postseason. The bank, with branches across the Front Range and Northern Colorado, said that for every Denver Broncos interception, it will increase its donation from $1,000 to $2,000 and boost every pick-six scored by the Broncos’ defense from $6,000 to $12,000, according to a news release.
So far this year, Ent has donated $38,000 to Children’s based on the Broncos’ 18 interceptions, including three pick-sixes through its “Ent-erceptions” program, the release stated.
Pro Bowl cornerback Pat Surtain II, who has alone contributed $9,000 toward the cause based on his interceptions, has been working with Ent to bring awareness about “Ent-erceptions” to fans. In addition, for every person who shares Surtain’s Instagram post, Ent will contribute an additional $5 to the Children’s Colorado “Ent-erceptions” campaign, the release stated.
“The fans have been hyped this year every time we score an ‘Ent-erception.’ You can feel the environment in the stadium shift. It’s created some great conversations and buzz. Knowing what happens on the field is benefiting those off the field, is impactful,” Surtain said in the news release.
Ent Credit Union and the Denver Broncos Foundation formalized a multi-year partnership this year to support community-focused initiatives across Colorado, including financial education, fan experiences, and in-game activations, the release stated. Ent also partnered with Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix and Broncos broadcaster Dave Logan.
