PRPA names new officers for 2022


FORT COLLINS — The board of directors for the Platte River Power Authority has elected new officers.
Serving this year as board chairman will be Reuben Bergsten, director of utilities for the town of Estes Park. Julie Pignataro, Fort Collins council member, will be vice chair.
Platte River Power Authority is owned by and is the wholesale power provider for Longmont, Loveland, Fort Collins and Estes Park. Typically, a utility executive from each community and one member from each city council makes up the board.
Bergsten and Pignataro were selected by fellow Platte River board members and replaced board chair Dave Hornbacher, executive director of electric services for the city of Longmont, and vice chair Wendy Koenig, mayor of Estes Park.
