LONGMONT — Indianapolis, Indiana-based Thompson Thrift Development Inc. is planning to build Notch66, a 336-unit multi-family project in Longmont at Main Street and Ute Highway.

The project, on 18.4 acres at 2525 Erfert Street, an address that does not exist yet but will be next to the Walmart Inc. (NYSE: WMT) store at 2514 Main Street, will have one-, two- and three-bedroom units and is expected to be complete by next year, Thompson said in a news release.

“Longmont was recently named the country’s top ‘Boomtown’ and the Boulder area is home to dozens of the country’s fastest growing private companies,” Thompson managing partner Josh Purvis said in the release. “Low unemployment rates, strong population growth and a highly educated workforce have contributed to a competitive housing market, and we expect Notch66 will provide an appealing rental option for residents desiring the style, luxury and convenience that Thompson Thrift communities feature.”

Funding for construction will come from the Watermark 2021 Development Fund III LP, according to the release.

Notch66 will be Thompson’s second multi-family project in Longmont. The company also developed Watermark at Harvest Junction on the other side of downtown from the new project.

HPA Design Group, a division of Humphreys & Partners Architects, is providing interior design for the project.
