Lightning eMotors taps leaders for energy, manufacturing divisions

LOVELAND — Lightning eMotors Inc. (NYSE: ZEV) has hired a new head of its Lightning Energy division and a new vice president of global manufacturing.

Brandon McNeil, who has been with the electric-vehicle manufacturer for two years, will head the energy business unit, and Brian Barron, formerly executive vice president of operations and manufacturing for Ice Energy Inc., will oversee manufacturing.

“These changes position us to execute on our ultra-fast growth and expansion plans, and ensure we can grow at the pace our customers are pulling, while providing them world-class, full-service solutions,” Reeser said. “We congratulate Brandon on his new role and welcome Brian to the Lightning family. Kash and I look forward to seeing the impact of their leadership and experience.”

Lightning has seen a series of personnel changes in the month since it went public by completing its merger with the special-purpose acquisition company GigCapital3.Earlier this month, chief procurement officer Stephen Isvan resigned abruptly after only three months on the job.
