CDHS offering new grant program for child-care providers
The Colorado Department of Human Services announced Wednesday the creation of a new grant program for child-care providers and those actively pursuing a child-care license.
The Emerging and Expanding Child Care Grant Program will offer $10 million for existing child-care programs that are expanding their capacity and applicants seeking a license.
Eligible programs can receive between $3,000 and $50,000 toward expansion-related expenses.
In a news release announcing the program, CDHS said it is intended to expand access to child care in rural areas.
