Ziggi’s franchisees will bring new locations to Erie, Lafayette
LONGMONT — Ziggi’s Coffee has signed a franchise agreement that will bring new locations to Erie and Lafayette.
Erie residents Brett and Tammy Russell signed the franchise agreement and are working with Longmont-based Ziggi’s to identify potential locations. Brett Russell works in the hospitality industry, while Tammy Russell works in health care.
“We like that Ziggi’s has strong systems and processes in place so that we don’t have to reinvent the wheel,” Tammy Russell said in a prepared statement. “But we also like that it’s still a family-owned business with a culture focused on community and family values. That was something we really connected with.”

The Russells also own several rental units.
“Our real estate ventures are really a stepping stone for a more lucrative investment opportunity with Ziggi’s Coffee,” Brett Russell said. “They provide a steady income and my job provides a lot of financial security; we just want to make that security blanket even bigger and we feel Ziggi’s is the best option to make that happen.”
The Russells plan to begin with one location, then quickly add others as the business scales.
“We like that we can scale our operation. If we want to do 10 units, we can,” he said. “One of our favorite parts of this experience so far was talking to some of the existing franchisees and getting their take on it. We asked them if they would do it again and every single one of them said ‘yes, without a doubt.’ That was huge for us.”
Ziggi’s Coffee operates 24 locations nationwide, with 38 additional units in development.
