Suit: Texas company accuses Vaisala of patent infringement
LOUISVILLE — Vaisala Inc., a Louisville maker of weather- and environment-monitoring equipment, is accused in a recently filed lawsuit of infringing on a patent held by Texas-based Saros Licensing LLC.
The suit, filed this week in U.S. District Court in Denver, alleges Vaisala technology was developed in violation of a 1999 patent for “a domestic appliance such as a microwave oven [that] is adapted for interaction with a communications network such as the internet by the addition of a substantially self-contained discrete communications module connectable to the communications network,” court documents show.
Saros is represented by attorney Isaac Rabicoff of Chicago-based firm Rabicoff Law LLC. Representatives for the plaintiff and Vaisala could not be reached for comment.
