Hemp, CBD producers struggle to find credit card processors

BOULDER – Some hemp product producers are struggling to find financial companies willing to process payments for their goods.

The Boulder Daily Camera reports several companies that make and sell CBD products can’t find credit card processors that are willing to work with them, despite hemp’s legalization at the national level with the 2018 Farm Bill. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says it is still illegal to market CBD as a health or food product, but has yet to issue formal rules against it.
