Oil companies remain committed to Weld

GREELEY — Oil and gas companies may still be wary of the new state law that resulted from Senate Bill 19-181, but they remain committed to Weld County.

The Tribune reported that the companies are less concerned about the measure than they were when it was first introduced because of amendments to the bill. Their concern now is how the formal rules to implement the law will be written. Each of the major companies operating in Weld County, however, indicated that they will continue operations at least until they see how the rules take shape.
