Boulder considers $5.2M purchase of 110-acre Poor Farm property
BOULDER — A long-coveted farm on 63rd Street soon might be the newest addition to the city of Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks Division.
The Boulder Daily Camera reports that the City Council on April 17 will discuss purchase of the 110-acre Boulder County Poor Farm. The property would be purchased for $5.2 million from the estate of Mary H. Wells and the Wells Family Trust.
Boulder open-space officials say the property would be used for agricultural and recreational purposes and would provide floodplain benefits, as well as valuable linkages with existing trails.
