Army Corps of Engineers has $1.7B Aurora VA hospital on track for 2018 completion
Management of the disastrous U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs hospital construction project in Aurora appears to be going better under the oversight of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The Denver Business Journal reports that the facility is 78 percent complete and is on pace for completion in 2018. The Corps of Engineers took over the project in November after work stoppages and mismanagement of the overall project led to the revelation that a facility that was supposed to cost $600 million would actually come in at $1.7 billion and years behind schedule.
