Oskar Blues Brewery to expand international distribution to 9 more countries
LONGMONT — Oskar Blues Brewery said Tuesday that the company plans to increase its international footprint into nine new countries over the coming six months or so.
Longmont-based Oskar Blues — which achieved distribution in all 50 United States when it entered Montana earlier this year — is already distributing internationally to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Canada and Australia.
Company officials said that by the end of 2016, they plan to have Puerto Rico, Spain, Chile, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Belgium added to the list. Brazil, New Zealand and Japan are slated to follow in early 2017.

Oskar Blues, which also opened its third brewery this year, in Austin, Texas, is projecting 2016 production of 215,000 barrels, up from 192,000 in 2015. In addition to the Austin brewery, Oskar Blues expanded its Brevard, N.C., brewery, doubling production capacity there.
