LUH, Centura Health cut ribbon on neighborhood health center in Firestone
FIRESTONE — Centura Health and Longmont United Hospital on Thursday held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new Centura Health Firestone Neighborhood Health Center.
The neighborhood health center at 6600 Firestone Trail promotes collaboration between different specialties, prevention, patient education and easy access to the key components of optimal health — primary care, pediatrics and lab services, according to a prepared statement.
Firestone, population 12,600, was named one of the fastest-growing towns in Colorado from 2000 to 2010 with population growth of 436 percent. In 2013, Firestone was named by Money magazine as one of the country’s top 50 best places to live.
