Denver-Boulder-Greeley inflation rate triples nation’s

Booming housing prices on the Front Range are causing inflation here to far outpace the national average, according to the latest consumer price index figures.

The Denver Post reports that the Denver-Boulder-Greeley Consumer Price Index increased 3 percent in the first half of 2016 versus the first half of 2015. That’s compared to a 1 percent inflation rate nationally over the same period and is the highest of any urban area.
