FoCo council backs landmark status for Woodward buildings

The historic-preservation group that tried and failed to save a pair of 100-year-old silos on the grounds of the new Woodward Technology Center campus may have won a round.

The Coloradoan reports that the Fort Collins City Council on Tuesday gave preliminary approval to an ordinance that would designate a barn and milk house on the property as local historic landmarks with the consent of the company. Woodward has agreed to the landmark designation as long as it could withdraw its consent if the city tries to expand or modify the designation.
