Chipotle exec turns self in on drug charges
The man charged with rebuilding Denver-based Chipotle’s image in the wake of food-borne illness outbreaks at its restaurants is now dealing with some personal damage control as well.
USA Today reports that Mark Crumpacker, chief creative and development officer for the burrito chain, turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday and was arraigned on seven counts of possession of a controlled substance. The arrest was in connection to a sting on a Manhattan drug ring from which Crumpacker allegedly purchased cocaine on multiple occasions. Chipotle placed Crumpacker on administrative leave last week.
