Weld County approves drilling operation near middle school
A 24-well oil and gas drilling site proposed near Bella Romero Academy just outside the Greeley city limits got the go-ahead to move forward Wednesday.
The Greeley Tribune reports that the Weld County commissioners unanimously approved the Extraction Oil and Gas project, which is slated to lie 1,300 feet from the school at 1400 E. 20th St.
