Colorado notches court victory on BLM fracking rules

Colorado and three other states this week won a battle with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management over who has the authority to regulate hydraulic fracturing on federal lands.

The Denver Business Journal reports that a federal judge in Wyoming ruled “that the Bureau of Land Management lacked congressional authority to promulgate the regulations” that the BLM had issued early last year. Wyoming, Utah and North Dakota were also part of the lawsuit.
