Fort Collins council to weigh construction-defects reform

The battle in Colorado over construction defects laws is reaching into another city in the region this evening.

Colorado Public Radio reports that the Fort Collins City Council will consider an ordinance at its meeting aimed at “reducing the risk that builders could be sued by dissatisfied buyers” in an attempt to spur development of more condominiums in the city.

Longmont is in the process of weighing similar rules changes, while cities like Denver and Aurora have already enacted such laws.
