UCHealth buys land for new Greeley facility

UCHealth’s rapid expansion in the Northern Colorado and Boulder Valley region’s just keeps accelerating.

The Greeley Tribune reports that the organization, which already has new hospitals underway in Boulder and Broomfield, has bought 21 acres in west Greeley where it is planning a new medical office building and “potentially a larger medical facility” near U.S. 34 and 65th Avenue.

UCHealth already has hospitals in Fort Collins (Poudre Valley Health Center) and Loveland (Medical Center of the Rockies), as well as an emergency and surgery center in Greeley that opened in 2012.

Work is under way, meanwhile, on a 22-bed hospital on five acres in Broomfield, as well as on a 48-bed hospital on 45 acres in Longmont. That’s not to mention work on a new medical clinic in Boulder and a host of standalone emergency rooms that UCHealth is building or has acquired in recent months.
