San Francisco bank considering loan-production office in Boulder

BOULDER — A commercial bank in California has submitted a request to the Colorado Division of Banking to use its name in Colorado.

San Francisco-based New Resource Bank is considering opening a loan-production office in Boulder, according to bank spokesman Bill Peterson.

“We are still working through the possibility internally and taking regulatory steps. We are hoping to make an announcement in 30 to 60 days, he said, declining to discuss specific plans. “We are a mission-based bank, and want to become a regional bank.”

Peterson said the bank makes loans to companies and organizations “that benefit our communities and preserve our planet.” He said the bank works with nonprofits, health and wellness companies, and organizations that work to preserve the environment.
