Antonio’s restaurant in downtown Longmont closes doors

Reconstruction of S. Main Street in Longmont is aimed at improving flood mitigation and helping to spur revitalization of the south end of downtown and beyond. But some area businesses are feeling the pain of the work.

The Times-Call reports that Antonio’s Mexican restaurant at 246 Main St. has closed. Owner Anthony Matus told the paper that the street construction, which began in August, negatively impacted parking in front of his restaurant and decreased traffic in the area in general, causing him to shut down.
