Weld commissioners deny permit for proposed sewage storage in Carr

The Weld County Commissioners have ruled against a waste storage company that had sought to store sewage in underground tanks on land in the tiny town of Carr.

The Greeley Tribune reports that the commissioners voted unanimously to deny a permit for Sullivan Septic after residents of Carr and industry experts had objected. The tanks were to hold waste from portable toilets and septic tanks until it could be spread on Kevin and Cynthia Sullivan’s 240-acre Carr property.
