Larimer County commissioners reject intergovernmental agreement from Loveland
A flap between the city of Loveland and Larimer County over a new downtown building for the county doesn’t appear to be going anywhere any time soon.
The Reporter-Herald reports that the Larimer County board of commissioners on Tuesday rejected a proposed intergovernmental agreement from the city outlining terms for the new building. Two aspects largely at issue are parking and the covering of a ditch along first street. The county wants 200 parking spaces, with the city’s proposed IGA featuring only 148. The county also wants the city to pay for covering the ditch to increase the usable area, but the city is offering only about $300,000 of the $1.5 million the county estimates would be needed.
