North Carolina pharmaceutical consulting firm opens Broomfield office

BROOMFIELD — North Carolina-based Nuventra Pharma Sciences has opened a Broomfield office as part of the consulting firm’s continued expansion into “industry hotspots” throughout the world.

Daniel Roy, director of business development and marketing, said Wednesday that the company aims to start out with a team of five employees at its new office at 10901 W. 120th Ave., with the possibility of further growth down the road.

Nuventra, founded in 2008 and based in Durham, provides consulting services for companies in the pharmacology, pharmacokinetic and pharmacometric spaces as they work their way through clinical trials.

Nuventra has more than 40 employees and was recently listed No. 2,180 on Inc. magazine’s list of the fastest-growing private companies in the nation. The company had revenue of $4.5 million in 2014, with 180 percent three-year growth, according to Inc.

Nuventra had previously opened regional offices in Philadelphia and Wilmington, N.C.

“It’s just a hotspot for biotech,” Roy said of Colorado. “It makes sense for us to have offices in areas where there are concentrations of biotech and pharmaceutical companies.”
