My Place Hotels submits plans for extended-stay hotel in Loveland

LOVELAND — My Place Hotels of America LLC has submitted plans to build a 64-unit extended-stay hotel in the Crossroads Business Park in east Loveland.

The 28,594-square-foot three-story hotel would be built at 3975 Peralta Drive in the Crossroads Business Park, according to city of Loveland planning documents.

The property is on Crossroads Boulevard along the east side of Interstate 25. Several new hotels have been built in the last few years in the area, including Embassy Suites.

North of the property is an Embassy Suites hotel, the Ranch — Larimer County’s fairgrounds complex — including the Budweiser Events Center, and multiple other businesses. On the other side of I-25 is the Fort Collins-Loveland MunicipalAirport.

Aberdeen, S.D.-based My Place Hotels was founded in 2011 by Ron Rivett and his grandson Ryan Rivett to provide economical extended-stay accommodations for business travelers. Ron Rivett was a co-founder of Super 8 Motels Inc.

There are about 20 My Place Hotels in South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Washington and Pennsylvania.

A spokesman for My Place Hotels declined to discuss details of the project in Loveland, which appears to be the company’s first in Colorado based on information provided on its website.
