PetroDE to provide cloud-based analytics platform to Anadarko

BROOMFIELD — Anadarko Petroleum Corp.’s “Unconventional Resource Best Practices” team has signed a contract to integrate a cloud-based decision engine technology from Broomfield-based PetroDE into its workflow.

Privately held PetroDE, which joined Fort Collins-based science and technology incubator Innosphere as a client company in 2015, agreed to the five-year pact with Anadarko to provide the company with cloud-based oil and natural-gas analytics.

Anadarko (NYSE: APC), based in Woodlands, Texas, is one of the top two oil and natural-gas companies operating in Weld County.

“In today’s volatile market, it is critical for our clients to be able to rapidly mine, visualize, analyze, and share multiple data sources in order to quickly make time-sensitive decisions on where to best direct resources,” said PetroDE chief executive Alan Lindsey in a media release.

Lindsey began developing PetroDE out of frustration with the time needed to gather, maintain, and analyze all of the data used in evaluating oil and gas projects. He created his company to maximize the value of staff and data by combining fast data mining and simple-to-use visual analytics with real-time collaboration.
