Big R of Greeley becomes Murdoch’s Ranch and Home Supply following sale

Big R of Greeley, a staple of the community for 55 years, officially became a Murdoch’s Ranch and Home Supply on Tuesday.

The Greeley Tribune reports that owner Rocky Francis sold the store, founded by his parents in 1960 as Ranch Wholesale and Supply, to Bozeman, Mont.-based Murdoch’s so that he could retire. Murdoch’s intends to remodel the store over the next 18 months.

Murdoch’s has 26 stores in Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado. There are 10 in Colorado, including Longmont, Fort Morgan and Westminster.
