Broomfield launches economic development website

BROOMFIELD — The city and county of Broomfield launched an economic-development website Thursday, featuring downloadable maps and demographic information and an interactive virtual tour as well as company and property searches and success stories from local businesses.

Touting the city as “Colorado’s Business Cultivation Capital,” InvestBroomfield.com “will be an important and beneficial resource for those doing business, and looking to do business in Broomfield,” said Mayor Randy Ahrens in a media statement. “The website will be one more tool for thriving small businesses, new tech companies, real estate professionals and site-selection consultants to use as they explore Broomfield’s strategic advantages, data, maps and much more.”

According to economic development director Bo Martinez, Broomfield is seeking a few local businesses to feature on the site with a free marketing video. Interested businesses can apply at Broomfield.org/BusinessSpotlight.

“That’ll be an ongoing process,” Martinez said. “We’ll continue to refresh those videos as we move the website along.”

Martinez’s department contracted with Atlas Advertising in Denver to develop the website and conduct a perception survey, said Anne Lane, Broomfield’s communications engagement manager.
