Colorado health exchange doubles early enrollment vs. last year

DENVER – Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s health insurance exchange, said that nearly 25,000 people have signed up for health insurance since Nov. 15, doubling enrollment figures during the same period a year earlier.

More than 24,800 customers have signed up for coverage, compared with 12,700 people during the same period last year, the state exchange said Thursday.

Of the 24,800 people who signed up, one third are customers new to the exchange. The remaining two thirds have re-enrolled for coverage for next year.
