Orientation, recruiting session set for League of Women Voters

The League of Women Voters of Larimer County wants you. Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the league will hold a special orientation session for new members and others who are interested in participating.

The league is a nonpartisan group dedicated to fostering discussion of important public issues. The 93-year-old group has a history of activism and encouraging citizens to get involved in monitoring and guiding government. An outgrowth of the Women’s Suffragist Movement, the league doesn’t endorse candidates but does take positions on current political issues.
