“I know there’s a boatload of people in my place,” WP Manufacturing owner Steve McLean said. “We’re just barely getting out from under the mud, and now we’ve got to deal with insurance and FEMA.”

McLean said there are lots of misunderstanding in the business community about what options are available for uninsured businesses, whether there is tax relief for damages, etc. He hopes that by bringing business leaders together to share their experiences that they will be able to help each other.

McLean said WP Manufacturing is bringing along some of its hired insurance and tax experts to the meeting to help answer questions businesses might have. Officials from the Longmont Area Economic Council will attend and provide information.

“Hopefully a lot of people show up and get a lot of information,” McLean said. “There might be people there who learn something that is the linchpin” in their business’s survival.
