Gas prices decline in Northern Colorado

The average cost of a regular gallon of gasoline dropped slightly in the Fort Collins and Loveland areas since last week and was lower than one year ago, according to AAA.

Gas prices in Fort Collins and Loveland dropped 1 cent to $3.35 ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, the AAA reported Monday. Gas prices in the area were $3.37 a year ago.

Compared with Fort Collins and Loveland, gas prices in Greeley were higher at $3.40 on Monday. Greeley gas prices declined 2 cents since last week and were only 1 cent higher than a year ago.

At $3.94, gas prices in Vail were the highest of places tracked by AAA.

Statewide, gas prices were $3.42.
