The Express Clydesdales to visit Greeley

The Express Clydesdales are coming to Greeley on June 28-29 and will appear at the Greeley Independence Stampede, said Kathy Egan, Express Franchisee.

There will be several of the horses available for the general public to see, at the Stampede or on Friday, June 29 at 11 a.m. outside Randy’s All American Grill.

“I look forward to providing this unique opportunity to the community,” said Kathy Egan.

Platte River must prepare for the retirement of 431 megawatts (MW) of dispatchable, coal-fired generation by the end of the decade and address more frequent extreme weather events that can bring dark calms (periods when there is no sun or wind).

The Express Clydesdales stand 17-18 hands high and weigh more than 2,000 pounds each. Their shoes are the size of dinner plates and weigh over three pounds each. The Express Clydesdales were named world champions in the Supreme Six-Horse Hitch and the Open Six-Horse Hitch at the World Clydesdale Show in Madison, Wisc., in 2011.

Serving as ambassadors for Express Employment Professionals, the Clydesdales make 50 appearances a year throughout North America, helping raise money for Children’s Miracle Network.

The Greeley Express Employment Professionals franchise began operation in 1974 and serves the Northern Colorado areas with temporary help and direct hire employees in a variety of fields, including administrative, commercial, data processing, CDL drivers, technical, sales, marketing and more.
