Ed Carroll celebrates 45 years in Fort Collins

FORT COLLLINS – Ed Carroll Motor Co. is celebrating 45 years in business with a celebration Thursday night.

The dealership has sold more than 20,000 Volkswagens in its time in Fort Collins. Including all three dealerships in the Ed Carroll collection, Volkswagen, Porsche and Audi, more than 42,000 vehicles have been sold, resulting in more than $1 billion in sales.

Carroll began selling Volkwagens in Boulder in 1965 and relocated to Fort Collins two years later when Volkwagen decided to open a new dealership.

As part of its anniversary, the company has helped raise $45,000 for the United Way.
