Bank of Commerce Mortgage hired Trent Gustafson as a mortgage loan officer in its Boulder office. Gustafson has 15 years experience in real estate development, construction and finance.

BBVA Compass promoted Ross Nicholls to relationship manager for the bank’s commercial banking group. Based in Boulder, Nicholls is focusing on mid-size businesses with revenue between $5 million and $250 million. In addition to managing lending relationships, he is assisting clients with depository services, treasury/cash management products, investment planning and insurance.

Boulder-based Flatirons Solutions Corp., a software engineering firm, appointed Gary Fuller as president of the company’s Government Solutions line of business. Fuller has more than 30 years of government and industry experience with IT/IS services organizations.  Fuller will be based in Flatirons Solutions’ office in Arlington, Virginia.

HEALTH CARE

Bradley Schuller, a physicist with Boulder-based Rocky Mountain CyberKnife, presented research findings from a pilot study conducted in conjunction with Mountain Radiation Oncology Consultants at the 53rd annual meeting of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine in Vancouver. The study examined the effects of radiation treatments on tumors.

HIGH TECH

Boulder-based Tendril Networks Inc., a provider of the cloud platform for smart grids, elected Suedeen G. Kelly to its board of directors. Kelly is an energy industry veteran and former commissioner with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission . A partner at the law firm of Patton Boggs in Washington, D.C., she co-chairs the Public Policy and Regulatory Department, and represents a variety of clients in the electric and natural gas industries.

Broomfield-based Webroot Software Inc. appointed Jacques Erasmus as the company’s first chief information security officer. With experience in threat research, information assurance and computer security incident response, Erasmus oversees data security operations across the business, including development, implementation and compliance.

Boulder-based Catapult PR-IR, a strategic public and investor relations firm for technology companies, promoted Christie Denniston to senior director of client accounts. Denniston will continue to lead media and analyst relations for key accounts and provide strategic project management across Catapult’s roster of B to B high-tech clients. Denniston started with Catapult six years ago as an account executive and most recently served as senior account executive.

MANUFACTURING

Boulder-based Neve Designs, a manufacturer of knit sweaters, base layers and accessories, hired Andy Burgess as executive vice president. Burgess will focus on operational management with special attention to product design, development and production. Burgess also will direct Neve’s private label manufacturing business as well as assisting with the expansion of Neve’s international sales and distribution network. Burgess has more than 20 years of experience in product development, merchandising, sales and marketing roles in the outdoor, snow sports and travel gear industries.

NONPROFIT

Aging Services Foundation of Boulder County elected five new members to its board of directors: Janet Joost of Longmont, Brian Kozel of Evergreen, Jeffrey Moulton and Emily Lewis of Boulder, and Raji Weerasinghe of Louisville

REAL ESTATE

Kathleen Nolan, owner/broker at Nolan Real Estate LLC/Metro Brokers in Lafayette, earned the Graduate Realtor Institute, or GRI, designation. Nolan attended 90 hours of classroom instruction, covering a variety of subjects including contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance and risk reduction.

The Bernardi Group at Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate hired Joelle Paxton as office coordinator.

SERVICES

Boulder-based Green Building Services LLC, a full-service commercial cleaning firm, hired Randall “Randy” Clausen as operations manager. He holds several OSHA certifications and has started his training in green cleaning practices as well as employee health and safety. Clausen will be responsible for working directly with clients to ensure quality control and customer satisfaction.  He will provide oversight and mentoring to the janitorial staff and coordinate and support the professional development of the team. He will be responsible for business development, current client retention and expansion initiatives.
