Pet cardiologists grow with acquisition

BOULDER – Rocky Mountain Veterinary Cardiology said Thursday it acquired the veterinary cardiology practice at the Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado in Denver.

The practice, called Veterinary Heart and Lung Specialists and operated by Dr. Carroll Loyer, was acquired in August for an undisclosed amount. Rocky Mountain is maintaining the cardiology team and operation at the Veterinary Referral Center.

With the acquisition, Rocky Mountain can offer specialized services at two locations – Alpenglow Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center in Boulder and at the Veterinary Referral Center in Denver.

In addition, RMVC provides a mobile cardiac service to serve veterinary clinics in mountain and outlying communities throughout Colorado.
