Technigraphics outlines hiring plans

FORT COLLINS – Digital mapping company Technigraphics Inc., having remodeled a 36,000-square-foot building in southeast Fort Collins, on Thursday disclosed plans for filling the space.

The company’s Ohio-based president and CEO announced that Technigraphics would bring another 100 highly paid employees aboard at the expanded Fort Collins location during the next three years, joining the 87 currently working there.

Technigraphics is in the third year of a $200 million, 10-year contract to supply maps and other data to the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, the U.S. Defense Department’s clearinghouse for highly secret geographic information.

Commercial Solar is a big investment, but not an overwhelming one

Solar offers a significant economic benefit for commercial property owners while also positively impacting the environment and offering a path to compliance for new municipal requirements like Energize Denver. A local, experienced solar installer will help you navigate the complexities of commercial solar to achieve financial success for your project.

A U.S. Navy captain who is a senior manager of the specialized intelligence agency was on hand at the Thursday evening ceremonies that marked the grand opening of the new space.

“Unfortunately, we can’t talk much about what they do for us,” Capt. Kevin Sherman said. “But they’ve been one of our prime data providers since 2003. They are a can-do company with a real focus on quality.”

Technigraphics, landlocked in its former location on Research Boulevard in Fort Collins, until last May was on the verge of leaving the region, perhaps for its Wooster, Ohio, home. The Northern Colorado Economic Development Corp. and Realtec Commercial Real Estate Services collaborated on a plan to keep the company here, and growing, by arranging the purchase of the building at 3351 Eastbrook Drive.

“We’re fortunate to have in this region companies like Techigraphics, companies that are tenacious and that stay with us,” NCEDC President Maury Dobbie told a group of about 200 employees and visitors at the ceremony.
