Stewardship award deadline approaching
The Larimer County Board of County Commissioners and the Larimer County
Environmental Advisory Board is seeking nominations for the 2011
Environmental Stewardship Award.
The award, now in its 17th year, honors individuals and organizations in
Larimer County that have undertaken activities that demonstrate
exceptional stewardship of the environment. Residents, schools,
agencies, government, businesses and other organizations are eligible
for the award.
A total of 58 awards have been presented since the program began in
1995. Last year’s winners were Big Thompson Elementary School of Nature
and Science, Wes Rutt/Beetle Busters Program, EnergyLogic, Rocky
Mountain Raptor Program, and the National Center for Craftsmanship.

The EAB will review the nominations and make recommendations to the
county commissioners, who will present the awards in the late fall.
The deadline for nominations is Aug. 31. Nominations can be submitted online at www.larimer.org/boards/eab/Awards/awards/htm.
