Verizon Wireless to launch 4G LTE in Fort Collins Aug. 18

DENVER – New Jersey-based Verizon Wireless plans to launch the world’s
first large-scale 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE) network in Fort Collins
on Aug. 18.

Customers from Vine Drive on the city’s north side to 57th Street in
Loveland on the south and from County Road 5 on the east to Horsetooth
Reservoir on the west will be able to take advantage of speeds up to 10
times faster than the existing 3G network, according to Verizon
officials.

“We are proud to help lead Fort Collins into the 4G LTE wireless
broadband world, helping residents, small businesses and local
government connect faster and more fully with each other and those
outside the community,´ said Melanie Braidich, Verizon Wireless regional
president.
