Creative Garden needs NewWestFest volunteers

FORT COLLINS – Beet Street’s Creative Garden, which will occupy the
parking lot at Remington and Oak streets in downtown Fort Collins during
this year’s Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest, is calling for volunteers
to help set up and take down the garden, as well as helping out during
the festival.

The Creative Garden, in its second year, will transform the parking lot
into a showcase of creativity featuring an art show, a performing arts
stage, the Bohemian Nights Singer Songwriter stage, a youth arts
display, and cafe-style seating that will allow guests to enjoy food,
beer and wine.

Volunteer shifts for setting up and taking down the Creative Garden are
available on Aug. 12 and Aug. 14 and include unloading trucks, hanging
signs and banners, and assembling tents. Food and drinks will be
provided to volunteers.

Shifts during the festival are available on Aug. 13 and 14 and include
information distribution, artist assistance, and sales of non-alcoholic
beverages. Food and drinks will also be provided to these volunteers.

NewWestFest, Fort Collins’ annual birthday bash, is set for Aug. 12
through 14 this year, throughout Old Town. The free music provided by
Bohemian Nights kicks off Friday night at 5:40 p.m. and continues
through Saturday and Sunday. This year’s headliners are G. Love and
Special Sauce on Friday; Tedeschi Trucks Band on Saturday; and Asleep at
the Wheel closes the event on Sunday. A complete music lineup is at
www.bohemiannights.org/Music-Lineup.

There will also be 80 Colorado bands playing on nine stages throughout
the weekend, food and crafts vendors, kids carnival and two beer gardens
open as part of NewWestFest, sponsored by the Downtown Business
Association.
