NewMark Merrill Mountain States extends reach to Colorado Springs

FORT COLLINS – Fort Collins-based NewMark Merrill Mountain States has
been selected to manage Citadel Crossing shopping center in Colorado
Springs, its first project in the southern part of the state.

“Colorado Springs has always been a part of our business plan to serve
the entire state of Colorado, and this project marks our entry into the
market,´ said Allen Ginsborg, NewMark Merrill Mountain States managing
director and principal, in announcing the project.

In December 2012, when Lowe’s opens its fifth Springs location – a new
120,000-square-foot store plus outdoor garden center – Citadel Crossing
will become the largest contiguous power center in south Colorado
Springs. The 470,000-square-foot center is anchored by PetSmart, Office
Depot, Guitar Center and Dollar Tree.

Citadel Crossing sits directly across from the mall on Academy Boulevard
and Platte Avenue (U.S. Highway 24). The Citadel mall established this
intersection as the primary regional shopping hub for the southern half
of Colorado Springs, Ginsborg noted.

With the addition of Citadel Crossing, NewMark Merrill Mountain States, a
division of NewMark Merrill Cos. LLC, owns and/or manages a portfolio
of almost 2 million square feet of retail space in Colorado.
