Green Garage looks to grow in Denver

BOULDER – After about 18 months in business, Green Garage Inc., an auto service shop, has big growth plans.

The Boulder-based company has been scouting out new neighborhoods in which to open in Denver, with plans to open a new location as soon as a good site if found. Green Garage also has an existing Denver location at 2900 Zuni St. in the trendy Highlands neighborhood and a Boulder warehouse location at 28th and Glenwood streets.

“We’re looking at a whole bunch of different locations in Denver,´ said Bonnie Benskin, a “smileage representative” at the company.

Green Garage offers service packages that include biodegradeable oil and recycled tires. The oil filters used by Green Garage mechanics last longer than traditional ones and the spark plugs generate more fuel efficiency, according to the company.

Owner Ryan Ferraro is the former owner of a Loveland auto dealership. Ferraro I-25 Chrysler Jeep Dodge. Infield Capital in Boulder is an investor in the company, as is Alex Bogusky, former partner in the national advertising firm Crispin, Porter & Bogusky, which has a Boulder office.
