Winter farmers market at Foothills Mall begins Nov. 7

FORT COLLINS – After the outdoor market at Harmony Road and Lemay Avenue
closes on Halloween, the Fort Collins Farmers Market will move into the
Foothills Mall for its first winter season on Nov. 7.

The market will be located just inside the main entrance to the mall
with chile roasting outside, weather permitting, and will continue on
the first and third Sunday of the month (second and third Sundays in
January) through April, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The markets will accept
EBT, debit and credit cards.

The winter market will feature local seasonal produce, including apples,
pumpkins, winter squash, cabbages, beets and carrots. Also available
will be grass-fed beef, honey, ristras, wines, coffees, frozen fruit
pies, baked goods, pastas, tamales, jams, lotions and jewelry.

The markets are sponsored by the Colorado Agricultural Marketing
Cooperative, which has been holding farmers markets in Fort Collins and
Loveland for more than 25 years.

Be Local Northern Colorado is also sponsoring winter markets in Fort
Collins and Loveland on Saturdays beginning Oct. 30. The markets open at
10 a.m. in the Opera Galleria, 123 N. College Ave. in Fort Collins, and
in the Bonnel Building at 129 E. Fourth St. in Loveland, and operate
until 3 p.m. in Fort Collins, 2 p.m. in Loveland.
