Level 3 helps connect Switzerland

BROOMFIELD – Level 3 Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:LVLT) is providing high-speed connectivity to Switzerland and expanding its operations in Philadelphia.

Under an agreement with Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Internet2, Level 3 will connect a major network hub in New York City to the LHC in Switzerland. The LHC is a global scientific research initiative based in Geneva that is operated by the European Organization of Nuclear Research and depends upon network connectivity and a data distribution model to enable worldwide collaboration of scientists.
