Great Basin raises $3.6 million
LONGMONT – Great Basin Scientific Inc., a privately held life sciences company headquartered in Salt Lake City with operations in Longmont, has closed $3.6 million in bridge funding to support the company through 2009 and the launch of its first product.
Great Basin is working on a diagnostic test for methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, bacteria that is responsible for difficult-to-treat infections in humans and often is resistant to many drugs used to treat infections.
