Natural product firms named finalists

BOULDER – Two Boulder companies, Olomomo Nut Company and The Organic Dish, were selected as two winners for the University of Colorado-Denver Bard Center for Entrepreneurship Business Plan contest.

Olomomo won first place and received $10,000. The Organic Dish won second place and received $5,000. The two companies, which were selected from among 76 businesses that submitted plans to the competition, will also receive consulting services.

Olomomo Nut Co. was founded in 2008 by Justin Perkins. The company sells roasted nuts coated with exotic spice and flavor blends at Boulder County Farmers’ Markets and online. Perkins intends to distribute his specialty nuts…
