Merck Serono selects Aegis software

LAFAYETTE – Discoverant, software for manufacturers developed by Lafayette-based Aegis Analytical Corp., will be used by select Merck Serono process development and manufacturing sites across Europe and the United States.

Merck Serono is a division of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. Details of the deal were not disclosed.

 Discoverant is a commercial off-the-shelf software system that helps users understand the sources of variability in complex manufacturing processes. It enables on-demand and scheduled access to data in disparate data sources, such as paper records, data historians, manufacturing execution systems, laboratory information management systems and other databases and data warehouses.
