Simple Solar taps into demand for sun power

BOULDER _ A surge of interest in going green coupled with consumer rebates from Xcel Energy helped Simple Solar Electric Systems grow its revenue by 319 percent from 2006 to 2008.

The Boulder-based full-service solar electric provider’s revenue grew from $993,425 to $4.2 million in two years, gaining it the No. 4 spot on the Boulder County Business Report’s 2009 list of Mercury 100 Fastest-Growing Companies with more than 2 million in annual revenue.
