Even in down economy, NoCo companies grow

What does it take to be recognized as part of the Mercury 100, Northern Colorado’s fastest growing companies? At the most basic level, it takes remarkable revenue growth – our top winners in both the under- and over-$2 million categories posted triple-digit increases between 2005 and 2008.

But what allows companies large and small, newly formed and longtime going concerns, to continue to thrive during economic times as challenging as these? If you talk to our top companies, the answer is obvious: It’s the people.

Citadel Advisory Group, our large company winner, gives all the credit for its success to the team of professionals assembled to help meet the needs of the firm’s investment clients. C&T Fabrication, No. 1 among the smaller companies, has grown through recommendations of the quality of their custom metal work from one satisfied customer to the next.

The Northern Colorado Business Report has been recognizing hot companies for nearly a decade; this is the coldest economy we have encountered in all those years, and we still have the honor of presenting Mercury 100 Awards to the best in the region.
